"Bear" or "Henke" is an up and coming sire in our herd. As a three year old, this bull has more width and muscle mass than many of our pass herd sires. Yet, even with the growth and power Bear provides, he still maintains a CED that exceeds ShowMe Select Requirements.

For Coon Angus, a herd sire is not proven until his daughters are proven dams in our herd. Above all, they must be fertile, easy fleshing, above average on milk, structurally correct & shed. With this in mind, our focus in the purchase of Bear, was not his sire but rather his Dam. Turner Image Maker AAA #17199086 is one of the corner stone females in Henke Farms. As an incredibly proven donor with a large number of progeny, we look forward to seeing her granddaughters compete with our Powerball 732 daughter & Deacon Granddaughters.

Bear's first set of daughters are due to calve in spring of 2024, and we are excited to see this herd sire become a proven maternal sire @ Coon Angus Ranch.
